Terms of Service

The Short Version

• ReviewBot monitors Chrome Web Store reviews and sends them to Slack
• You need a valid account and must be authorized to connect your Slack workspace
• Don't abuse the service or use it for anything illegal
• We provide the service "as is" and aren't liable for missed reviews
• Either party can terminate at any time

1. The Service

Chrome Review Bot ("the Service") monitors Chrome Web Store extensions for new reviews and sends notifications to your connected Slack workspace. The Service is provided by Chrome Review Bot ("we", "us", "our").

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

2. Account Requirements

To use Chrome Review Bot, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate account information
• Be authorized to connect the Slack workspace you're using
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Only monitor Chrome extensions you have a legitimate interest in (e.g., extensions you own, develop, or are evaluating)

You're responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service in ways that affect other users
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond what we provide
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
• Harass, spam, or harm Chrome extension developers based on information obtained through the Service
• Use the Service to scrape reviews for purposes that violate Google's Chrome Web Store Terms of Service

4. Pricing and Payment

Chrome Review Bot offers both free and paid plans. For paid plans:

• Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days notice
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• No refunds for partial months, but you can cancel anytime and retain access until the end of your billing period
• We may offer promotional pricing or trials at our discretion

If payment fails, we'll attempt to notify you and may suspend your account after a grace period.

5. Intellectual Property

Our IP: Chrome Review Bot, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us. These terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service.

Your Data: You retain ownership of your data. You grant us a limited license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

6. Third-Party Services

Chrome Review Bot integrates with third-party services including:

• Slack - You must comply with Slack's terms of service
• Google Chrome Web Store - We access publicly available review data
• Stripe - Payment processing is subject to Stripe's terms

We're not responsible for these third-party services. If access to them is interrupted, the Service may be affected.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we'll try to notify in advance)
• Unplanned outages
• Changes to third-party services we depend on
• Changes to the Chrome Web Store that affect our ability to access review data

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• All reviews will be captured and delivered
• Review data will be complete or accurate (we rely on publicly available data from the Chrome Web Store)
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Lost profits or revenue
• Lost data
• Missed reviews or delayed notifications
• Business interruption

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

By You: You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, don't pay, or if we discontinue the Service. We'll provide notice when reasonably possible.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable period.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account.

13. General Provisions

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules.

Entire Agreement: These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chrome Review Bot.

Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right doesn't waive our right to do so later.
